Facebook’s Farmtown option of a Nativity with no Jesus is about the most blatant display of ignorance I’ve seen yet with respect to the liberal attempt at being politically correct. The mere definition of nativity is the process or circumstances of being born, so to remove the baby negates the label. When nativity is capitalized, that’s with respect to the birth of Christ, and those displaying a Nativity Scene are the ones who are actually celebrating Christ’s birth and Christmas, which is the celebration of the same, not the celebration of Santa delivering gifts to good girls and boys. Having said all that to say, even if one is trying to accommodate options for an atheist to decorate their Farmtown, to offer a nativity option without a baby is totally redundant. To offer a Nativity Scene without Jesus in the Farmtown market under the Christmas tab…well…need I say more? I’m just amazed they went to that extent on the Nativity Scene and then used Christmas as a store tab instead of “holiday”. Anyone else see the irony in this? Aside from that, I DO have a Nativity Scene with my Saviour in it, AND I have a Christmas tree. Merry Christmas, Merry Jesusmas, and all that implies!!!
