Message from the Democrats: Buy more foreign oil

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

You don’t need to be a genius to figure this out. The Democrats and the drive-by media want you to be so dependent on foreign oil. With a Congressional approval rating of 18.7, lower than that of President Bush, you would think that the Democratic-led Congress would be bending over backwards to help the American people - that would be a change.

Not going to happen folks.  Yesterday, a House subcommittee on Wednesday rejected a Republican-led effort to open up more U.S. coastal waters to oil exploration. The bill’s sponsor, Rep. John Peterson, R-Pa., said:  “There is no valid reason for Congress to keep the country from energy resources it needs.”

The U.S. Minerals Management Service reports that there may be 86 billion barrels of oil and 420 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in that designated area.

You have a choice on November 4. Do you want to be a slave to foreign oil, or do you want to be a truly energy independent American?

Impeach Bush? Really, Kucinich?

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Dennis Kucinich, democratc rep from Ohio, is calling for Bush’s impeachment stating he deceived the American citizens by claiming an imminent threat in Iraq to the United States (story at the link below ). First of all, because no significant weapons of mass destruction have been found, what makes people think they didn’t, or still don’t, exist? There’s evidence that Osama Bin Laden is still alive. If he can hide as well as he has, who is to say that he doesn’t have his WMDs equally well hidden somewhere?

Kucinich is apparently determined to have someone impeached. Previously, in 2007, he called for Dick Cheney’s impeachment. It would be a refreshing change if he would stop  wasting time bent on placing blame on our Commander in Chief and actually get his face away from Communist News Network (CNN) to look at what we have accomplished both here in the states and in Iraq. Every American soldier, including my son who is currently serving there, has said that the news never reports the good things -for example: have we had a terrorist attack in the US since 9/11? Sure, I feel we need a gradual plan to eventually pull out, but elimination of terrorists are much like eliminating cockroaches. They are breeding every day, and to get rid of them completely, you must attack them at the source.
