Waitress gets $50,000 tip!

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

I just wanted to share the story at the link below because it falls in line with what we hear every day about providing good customer service. Sometimes, one can be handsomely rewarded for patience and perseverance. The waitress in the story no only received $50,000 when one of her crankiest customers recently passed away, but he also left his car to her in his will.

Britney Spears’ sister, Jamie Lynn and the news of her pregnancy

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

I was browsing the headlines today and, of course, everywhere I looked there was a piece on Jamie Lynn Spears announcing her pregnancy with long time friend, 19 year old Casey Aldridge.

I have to wonder, in a world of teen pregnancies all over the globe, why this one gains national headlines. I understand she is in a high profile family, but it just seems like there are more important things to cover -like the book Britney and Jamie’s mother was writing on parenting (read more on at the link below). Given Britney’s antics over the last couple of years, and now this, I’m thinking perhaps their mother should try reading a book on parenting. The book is apparently on hold, but not canceled. Seems like cancellation would be more appropriate -after all, writers are always being told to write what they know, so a book on parenting doesn’t really sound like a good fit for Lynn Spears.

Alycia Lane is at it again…

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Looks like it wasn’t enough for Alycia Lane to make national headlines earlier this year over e-mailing photos of herself to NFL Network anchor, Rich Eisen (whose wife wasn’t so appreciative of this generous “gift”). Now she’s in the news again for her recent arrest arising from an altercation with two plain clothes police officers.

Interesting. She claims she didn’t make the derogatory comments, or assault either of them, and she also stated she didn’t know they were police officers. So what does that mean? If she’d known, she’d have refrained any activities described in the story at the link below? Whether police office, or not, no one deserves to be treated the way she and her friends treated these two officers.
