The Waxman-Markey or The Pelosi Energy Bill or H.R. 2454 or The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 Passed In The House yesterday 219-212. The House-passed bill requires that large U.S. companies, including utilities, oil refiners, manufacturers and others, reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases associated with global warming by 17 percent by 2020 and 83 percent by 2050, from 2005 levels. They would do so by phasing in the use of cleaner alternative energy than high-polluting oil and coal.
The Obama regime, fronted by state media, postulates that this will help the United States “do our part” to cut global warming. I imagine that the Creator of earth laughing at the self-righteous smugness of these people.
Not sure who the liberals hire as scientists, hopefull it’s not Al Gore, but the American people need to do their own research and find out the facts for themselves. You won’t get the truth out of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN or MSNBC. Check out Gracie’s factoid on the junk science of greenhouse gases.
The Pelosi Energy Bill is a tax people. It exposes yet another contridiction of Obama. In a speech on September 12, 2008 in Dover, New Hampshire, Obama said,
I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.
Pelosi’s twin in the Senate, the Liberal Senator Harry Reid, is now responsible for guiding an Obama tax through his chamber. Between now and October, Americans who have been taxed enough must call, write, email, or fax your senator frequently and often and let them know how you feel. After all, they work for you.
You can download a sortable list of your elected officials (courtesy of GovTrack) who voted to tax your energy usage. We’ve excerpted our regional list and we’ve also added their re-election dates. If they aren’t doing what you elected them to do – fire them.
