Obama’s feigned herosim at Notre Dame completely misses the mark

Once again, the media’s coverage of Obama serves to portray him as a hero, when in fact, he has once again delivered a speech that is both condescending and biased against the wealthy:

“Too many of us view life only through the lens of immediate self-interest and crass materialism,” Obama declared. “The strong too often dominate the weak, and too many of those with wealth and with power find all manner of justification for their own privilege in the face of poverty and injustice.”

This quote reported at the link below shows our president is completely oblivious to the good the wealthy have done in America, instead lumping them together under his own biases based on mere soap opera-like assumption. He apparently has forgotten that many a wealthy person has used their personal funds to set up facilities and funding for those less fortunate. Aside from the tax money the wealthy contribute to goverment programs, many have served to set up long term assistance to feed the hungry and fund educational programs and scholarships so the poor have an equal opportunity for financial success in this world. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is a prime example of the wealthy sharing their wealth, rather than using it as a tool to “dominate”.

I’m sure there are wealthy people out there who are self-serving, “self-interested and exhibit crass materialism”, but those traits are evident in the poor as well. Why else would many a poor person become involved in drug trafficking and stealing -the very essence of “self-interest” and “crass materialism”. In addition, such criminals “dominate” the wealthy, as they must constantly remain on guard for fear of harm at their hands. Fortunately, the wealthy don’t view the poor in one lumped together group. Otherwise, Obama would likely call them on the carpet for such biased thinking.
