So often, we go through our lives out of tune with what is going on around us -especially when it comes to others. We’ve busied our schedules to the point we can no longer connect with others, and if we do actually connect, we have little room in our lives to establish new relationships. It’s easier to maintain the ones we already have. After all, inviting a new person into our circle, making them feel welcome and accepted takes a lot of work and effort. And, what if it doesn’t work out? Then, there is that pain to deal with. It is my hope that the suicidal death of this bright and accomplished woman will make us take note of how we are treating others. The Golden Rule should forever apply in any relationship, as illustrated by the piece in Sensible Life Magazine’s Editorial today.
